How to sew a sleeve on to a short sleeve shirt?
I’m sewing on a sleeve on to a t shirt. how do I go about this without accidentaly sewing the the sleeve hole shut?

Sleeves on t-shirts are sewn in "in the flat"…. while the shoulder seam is sewn, but the side seam isn’t.
Sew one shoulder seam
Sew neck ribbing
Sew second shoulder seam and close neck ribbing
Match notches of sleeve to notches of armscye and sew sleeves in.
Sew underarm seam from sleeve hem to armpit and then on down to the hem of the shirt
Sew hems.
Done.
