Is it OK to wear a tie with a short sleeve collared shirt?
It’s a light blue shirt, button down, with a collar.
Dress pants. It’s for a graduation.

please dont, i bet they have breast pockets too… *shrieks
I honestly think that the ties should be worn with long sleeved collared shirts..it looks more classy and less dorky.
It is not an acceptable dress code. Always a long sleeve shirt is compatible with tie.
Hey, its completely up to you…. guys at my work do it all the time and I work in a business casual environment. It should be just fine, dont let others tell you how to dress, if you like it and feel comfortable in it…DO IT!
Good Luck///
Sure it is OK But I prefer long sleeved shirts Long sleeve shirts are better but its really your decision.
Hope it Helped!
only if your look and have the body shape of Justin Timerlake, otherwise dude, pay for a longer sleeved one! alsod epends on our compexion, where you going, with dress pants or jeans?
yes, ido. and everyone that i know does
sure if you want to look like Ward Cleaver
It’s okay. The guys in the office across the street do it all the time on hot days. I assume you are a teen and it’s a high school graduation, so go for it. I would recommend a tie in a colour that goes with or matches the shirt, that seems to be the big look right now.
And for those who still repeat the seriously dated advice that ties are only for long sleeve shirts, that rule went out with the nineteen fifties, along with women should wear white gloves when going out of the house. Look at high end men’s runway shows, men’s fashion mags, and men’s stores, no one follows that advice anymore.
