Paintballing in short sleeve shirt?

The first time I went paintballing was in one of my long sleeve Asics shirts for running. I was overheating. Paintballs didn’t hurt too much and I was thinking about going again this friday in a black short sleeve shirt. I heard the paintballs sometimes cause scarring if it breaks on exposed skin. Should I still paintball in short sleeve? Layer? Or just wear the same long sleeved shirt? Will my injuries be worse? Oh yeah, and I’m paintballing inside if that helps.

I recommend wearing a rather loose long sleeves shirt so you don’t overheat like the last time. In some cases if the balls velocity is too high, it can cause permanent scaring to the skin. So I wouldn’t recommend leaving so much skin exposed. The only worse thing that can happen when paintballing is possibly being hit by a frozen paintball or your skin bleeding because of a high impact hit. Frozen paintballs aren’t really an issue that much anymore but being hit by a regular paintball going 280+ fps can cause you to start bleeding. So don’t have too much skin exposed.
